WHY TAKE THIS COURSE?
This RAID course is designed to teach persons the understanding and working knowledge about High pressure compressor units as well as how to use the unit for filling air tanks (compress air for breathing) in the high pressure ranges of 200-300 BAR.
WHO IS IT FOR?
Any person over the age of 16 years old may take this course.
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
We teach the RAID Compressor Operator program based on your intended application. If you have your own fill station, and are looking to ensure you are filling tanks in a controlled, safe manner, we can help.
Just looking to learn more about compressor operation? Great! You will learn on Dive Alaska’s fill station, which is one of the more sophisticated, yet simple, fill stations around. Tailor-made to the demands of technical, recreational, and expedition diving, you’ll learn a little a bit of everything when learning on our system.
PREREQUISITES AND DURATION
Applicants for a RAID Compressor Operator program must meet the following criteria:
- The student must be a minimum of 16 years old.
- The Student must complete 9 compressor hours filling AIR (SCUBA) cylinders under the direct supervision of an experienced and certified Compressor Operator, before certification may be issued. These hours must be logged and open to inspection.
