WHERE:
Hidden Lake is part of the larger Skilak Wildlife Recreation Area, in Kenai. It is about a 2.5 hr. drive from Anchorage, when headed towards Soldotna/Homer.
HOW:
Park fees run $10 once you arrive, and divers can walk straight in using the boat ramp. Hidden Lake is a fairly straight-forward shore dive.
WHY:
Hidden Lake offers some of the better lake diving for Anchorage scuba divers. A 2.5-hour drive from Anchorage, scuba divers in Hidden Lake have the opportunity to see rainbow trout, fresh water mussels, and even beavers!
